Delft Day 6: De Porceleyne Fles (30 Jan 08, Wed) (Part 1)

>> Sunday, February 10, 2008

It was a free day today and I suggested going to De Porceleyne Fles. The Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles is the only remaining factory of the 32 earthenware factories that were established in Delft during the 17th century.

Delft is famous for its blue and white ceramics (Delftware, or Delft pottery). The pottery is made in and around Delft from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries in the Netherlands.
