Amsterdam Day Trip (Day 5, 29 Jan 08, Tue) (Part 3)

>> Tuesday, February 05, 2008

We were heading to the Amsterdam Historisch Museum.

An interesting looking building

Some nice graffiti on the wall

Civic Guards Public Gallery

Civic Guards painting

The description of the gallery

At the entrance of the Amsterdam Historisch Museum (the entrance ticket costs 7 euros)

Old artifacts

An intricately designed wooden miniature ship

A tour group inside the museum

An authentic cesspit

Old pottery and equipment

As we only had 1 hour 10 minutes to explore the museum before it closes at 5 pm, Kian Shing and I were walking briskly to see the massive painting and artifacts in the 25 sections which ranges from early days to modern times. The others preferred to look into detail at each section.

Head too small in comparison to the leather shirt

Armour

A painting of Amsterdam in the old days

The royal palace

Pushing a cart

A rather eerie wooden sculpture

Lovely paintings

A view of the civic guards gallery from the 2nd storey
