Went to get a flu jab and got a pack of Tamiflu. It's expensive! Nonetheless, having precautions is still better than having none. Better be safe than sorry.
My site, my feelings, my events, and my memories

Checked Emirates website and i got a shock. Check out how low the air ticket prices to Europe have dropped. The prices are inclusive of taxes and surcharges by the way.I could have saved $137 (coz the Emirates air tickets to Munich is $741 compared to the Lufthansa ticket which i bought at $878). Never mind, never expected prices to drop so low and at least mine is a direct flight.
It's the perfect time for overseas trips considering how cheap the air tickets are now. So very tempting.
I have been following Survivor for quite a number of seasons and this season is definitely one of the best seasons ever.
Blindsides after blindsides, backstabs after backstabs, fake immunity idols played, disposal of real immunity idol, underdogs that lasted after losing countless immunity challenges, 2 unexpected tribal switches, the downfall of a ultimate power player, a survivor marriage proposal, 1 Olympic gold medallist who failed to perform at physical challenges, 1 professional gamer who manipulated and schemed the way to the top 5 but a mistake cost him dearly, 2 nasty beyond recognition players, 1 pin-up model who followed her heart, and finally 1 undefeatable physics teacher. This season of Survivor is reality show at its best.
I just did a major revamp of my blog and i guess it looks more organised now. :)
Read more...The bad economy nowadays has brought up the entrepreneurial spirit in me. If it really takes off, i will be really busy. Lots of effort need to be put in before it can take off though.
Read more...This morning, i was going to school as usual and started the engine. Jerk, jerk and died. 2nd try, jerk, jerk and died. 3rd try, jerk and died.
All of a sudden, my extremely helpful Caucasian neighbour knocked on my car window and asked me whether my battery is flat. I said i'm not sure and he asked me whether i know how to push start the engine. "No idea" was my reply. I got out of my car to let him handle the vehicle and he got it starting in a jiffy. Also because in front of my house is a slope and pushing the car was not really necessary. Nonetheless, i am very grateful for this kind act as i had never spoken to the neighbour who had moved in only a few months ago.
After school ended in the evening, i had wished that the battery would not have played tantrums again and it died on me the 2nd time round.
Thankfully, Dz, Aaron and Qy were there when i could not start the engine. I thought that i would be able to push start the engine with their help. I was totally wrong. I knew nothing of the procedure and i kept turning the ignition key when the car was being pushed. After their energies were depleted, i then realized that the gear need to be engaged when the car had gained enough speed.
We then went to a nearby petrol station to get some battery water but after inquiry from the petrol kiosk staff, we found out that my engine's battery water cannot be refilled and the whole battery needs to be replaced by a new one.
After an hour of waiting for the car mechanic, my car came back to life. Hopefully this incident would not repeat itself too soon. Thanks to all the helpful people around me. Really appreciate your kind help.
I am not very demanding i think, but some people might beg to differ. Lol...
I just sent out a list of criteria in planning for trips and here it is below.
Task 1
Choosing the hostel
Criteria
1) Price (V Impt)
2) Location (V Impt)
3) Reviews (Impt)
4) Availability (Impt as we all stay together is best)
Recommended site to choose hostel: www.hostelworld.com
Task 2
Marking the tourist attractions on the printed maps.
Task 3
Create a detailed document documenting from the time we leave Delft to take the plane, how we go from the airport to Basel, and how we are getting to our hostel etc. Indicate the transportation that we are taking as well. Do the same when we go back to Delft.
Task 4
Research on the tourist attractions. Eg, what time does Louvre museum open until? What's the price for climbing up Eiffel Tower? How to get to the tourist attraction, etc.
Task 5
Create a budget for the trip. Calculate the fixed costs (transportation + hostel fee, etc) as well as estimate the non fixed costs.
Task 6
Compile them into a document and send it to me after you have finished planning.
Don't worry about navigation as i will most probably be leading the way with the maps. (So make sure the locations are marked correctly)
Thanks for your help!

Not too demanding, i hope. :)
Been going out almost everyday and planning trips at night.
Not much time to blog but i'll put up a photo which i like a lot.
Netherlands is now GMT + 2 instead of GMT + 1 as of 30 Mar 08 to 26 Oct 08.
Was adjusting all the clocks and watch to add 1 hour. 1 hour 'eaten up' just like that. We will only be able to gain back the 1 hour when we go back to Singapore.
"Gone are the days when we used to run after dollars, holding onto them for rainy days," said Vijay Narain, a tour operator in the city of Agra where the Taj Mahal is located. "Now we prefer the euro. It gives us more riches."
In Bolivia, billboards feature George Washington's image on a $1 bill alongside a bright pink 500 euro note, encouraging savers to turn to the euro to tuck away money earned abroad or sent home in remittances.
"If the dollar's going down ... save it in Euros!!!" say the signs popping up around La Paz for Bolivia's Banco Bisa.
In Manhattan's Bowery district, Billy LeRoy, the owner of Billy's Antiques & Props, prefers payment in euros so he can stockpile the currency for his annual antique buying trip to Paris.
While low dollar cycles have come and gone for decades, experts caution that it's now much more difficult to predict when this one will end because the euro didn't exist as competition for the dollar before.

Got a good deal from my colleague who just won this laptop at my company's dinner and dance 10 days ago. She already has 2 laptops and does not need the new one, so I decided to buy it from her for 1k.
It's Dell Vostro 1400 with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00 GHz, Windows Vista Home, 2 Gb Ram and 160 gb of memory. Quite a steal but the warranty period is only 1 year.
I was planning to go to Sitex at the end of this month to get a cheap laptop but i got a better deal instead.
Just received a package from Jim in Manchester and he just sent me 14 postcards for each of our jc friends. The postage costs around S$4.50 and that's a good way to save postage fees since i'm helping to distribute.
Thanks Jim! Will be passing the postcards to the rest when i have the chance to.
I will be planning a trip to Edinburgh for my exchange next sem too!
Had 2 of my wisdom teeth extracted last week and it was bleeding quite badly on several days. Woke up with my pillow stained with blood on 2 consecutive nights and went to a doctor to stop the bleeding.
The doctor said that the stitching was not done properly and caused the continuous bleeding. When i went back to remove the stitches, i complained to the dentist that i lost a lot of blood and he said that i'm being too dramatic. What a totally ego guy!
