Last Gathering in Delft

>> Sunday, June 29, 2008

We had a gathering before we go off for our trips and it was held at Janan's apartment. Thank you Janan for cooking the dishes. It was a memorable exchange and all of us were present. Although we only managed to know a few locals, it was definitely an intensive exchange as we were either busy studying or busy traveling (for me busy planning the trips as well).

Thanks a lot to the geniuses who are staying in my apartment, namely Mau and Venu. If not for them, i would have failed some modules i think. Thanks a lot to Mau and Venu for their indispensable help. Thanks to Janan for always cooking nice dishes and thanks to Kian Shing who is ever so cheerful and optimistic.

Below are the photos of our last gathering in Delft. Cya folks back in NTU. Will miss the times we had here in Delft!

Before I go

>> Saturday, June 28, 2008

Setbacks are meant to make you stronger.

One door closes, another door opens.

At least my FYP problem has finally been solved before I proceed with my backpacking trip tomorrow.

Will be back on 21 July.

After exams

>> Friday, June 27, 2008

Finally, it's after exams.

A bad incident prior to the exam left me shocked and disappointed but it was partly my fault.

I trust people too easily and i had learnt my lesson.

I just had to let it go and make sure that my happiness does not get compromised by other people again.

Went to the train station to fetch Derrick this morning.

He had come all the way from Singapore to Delft for the 23 day backpacking tour of Sweden, Germany, Spain, Portugal, UK and Ireland that we will be embarking on from this sunday.

3 more days to the end of all exam torture.

No way out

>> Saturday, June 21, 2008

Looks that there is no way out and I can only pray for the best.

Hope that I will be mentally prepared by then.

I can only move on and not let it affect my other papers.

PS: A warning to anyone who decides to choose TU-Delft Aerospace faculty as your exchange school. Enter at your own risk.

Shucks...

>> Friday, June 20, 2008

I thought that I should be able to pass after attempting 8 past year papers, reading through the textbook and the lecture notes.

Turns out I was wrong.

This is one of my worst papers that I have encountered.

According to my gut feeling, I should be getting around 5/10 for the paper which means a fail.

I will try to find a way out of this problem fast.

Back from Switzerland

>> Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Been very busy after the Swiss trip as I had to plan modules that i have to take next semester in NTU, decide the FYP subjects to take, take the Supersonic Windtunnel Exercise, do the wind tunnel report, and study for the exams which start next thursday!

I have completed only 3 of the above and i STILL haven't started revising anything yet! Luckily, i am just taking 2 papers this quarter, which explains why the bunch of us people here have been traveling so much recently.

I do not have much time to blog and I'll just post a photo taken in Grindelwald, Switzerland at above 1500 metres altitude.
