Langkawi Day 3!

It was day 3 and we can either go for sea sports or shopping. Anthony and i initially decided to go for sea sports but we got up too late and went for shopping instead. The bus for sea sports left at 7.30 am and we woke up at 9 am. Joined the 2nd batch of people going for shopping and headed to the shopping area near the jetty.

There are many shops selling many souvenirs and several shops selling clothes, shoes and bags. I only bought a wooden slinky snake and a t-shirt. Actually, i'll rather go JB for shopping. We had our lunch at a hawker centre and the food is quite cheap.

We spent some time shopping again after our lunch and headed back to pack our stuff as we had to check out by 4.45 pm.

The people who went for sea sports did parasailing, jet skiing and island hopping. Should have woke up earlier to participate. We left Beringin Resort at 5 pm and headed to the jetty to board our ferry.

Reached Penang after 3 hours and boarded the coach back to Singapore.


We had our dinner at a seafood restaurant along NS highway and reached Singapore at 6 am the next day. At the Singapore customs, we declared our liquor we bought over at Langkawi and we had to pay $30 of liquor tax and GST of the price we bought the liquor. I was billed $33.45 while some others who bought two bottles had to pay about twice the tax. I only gained a bit compared to buying in Singapore.

Lesson learnt: Never buy liquor unless you are travelling by international flight! (I'm also not going to Langkawi again in the near future.)
