Vietnam Day 9: Perfume Pagoda (Part 3)
>> Thursday, January 10, 2008
Finally, we reached Perfume Pagoda and it is actually a sacred temple located inside a cave. The is mist or incense smoke hovering around the vicinity of the cave and gave it a mysterious feel and a pleasantly mild sweet smell. The cave had lower temperature and we had a short break from the humid afternoon heat.
3 people drenched in perspiration
I did not take photos inside the cave as it is a sacred place for many Vietnamese people. After the 10 minutes short tour of Perfume Pagoda, we left the place promptly as our tour guide told us to hasten our pace.
The 6 of us including the tour guide took the cable car downhill and it was a relief for our exhausted legs.

The endless hills
To be continued...We went for lunch at around 1.30 pm and the tour guide then took us to the temple at the foot of the hill.
End of Part 3 (12.45 pm to 2.30 pm)
