Vietnam Day 11: Hoa Lu to Tam Coc (Part 2)

04/07/07

After the tour of Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel, we proceeded to a restaurant at Tam Coc area.

Tam Coc means three caves. A rowboat trip on Ngo Dong River will take us through three caves of Hang Ca (the first cave with 127m long), Hang Giua (the second cave with 70m long) and Hang Cuoi (the third cave with 40m long).

As there were only 3 of us left, we decided on who is the odd one out by flipping hands. I was the unlucky one and paired up with a stranger to take a ride on the boat.

Boats

Edwin and Gs

Bridge

Ducks hiding near the padi fields

Me and a stranger

Water plants

Water temple perhaps

The calm river

Rock formations

Going to enter a cave

Closer

Inside the cave!

To be continued...

End of Part 2 (11.30 am to 1.30 pm)
