Vietnam Day 9: Hanoi to Perfume Pagoda (Part 1)

>> Wednesday, January 02, 2008

We parted ways with Terence who went back to Singapore earlier for his grandfather's funeral in the morning and the 3 of us went for the perfume pagoda day tour. It costs US$20 for the day tour which starts at 7.30 am until evening time.

We sat on the minibus which took about 12 people and headed on our journey there.

A stopover break

Insects and snakes in the bottle!

Hand sewn embroidery

The endless padi fields

Reached a town

Sampans

Abundant rowers waiting for us

Waiting to ride on the sampan

Boat trip

The 3 of us were sitting together with a Vietnamese who studies in NUS and had a chat with him along the way to Perfume Pagoda.

The serene boat ride

The calm river

An old bridge

Ducks

To be continued...

End of Part 1 (6.30 am to 11.30 am)
