Hong Kong Trip: Shenzhen Day 3 (Part 2)
>> Saturday, January 20, 2007
We continued on our journey in Splendid China and took many photos there.
Colourful miniature buildings
Nice castle-like building on a small hill
We are on stage!
Traditional Chinese masks
We were rather hungry and headed for lunch outside the tourist attraction. We ordered quite a lot of dishes at a Chinese restaurant and we couldn't finish all of the food. The food is very oily but some of the dishes were quite good. The best part is that we only need to pay around 4 to 5 dollars (S$) per person for restaurant food with around 7 or 8 dishes. CHEAP!!!
Our first meal in China in a restaurant
We headed over to the metro after our lunch and went to Window of The World "Shi4 Jie4 Zhi1 Chuang1" station which is only 1 stop away.
We were greeted by many flowers, a fountain, and grand buildings at the entrance. The ticket price is the same at 120 HKG dollar ($24).

The beautiful entrance of Shi Jie Zhi chuang (Window of The World)
Window of The World contains many buildings, structures and famous monuments around the world. We spent a long time inside admiring the large numbers of the wonders of the world until after sunset.
At the gigantic amphitheatre
Replica of Eiffel Tower (Scale: 1:3)
Merlion! (Very few people want to take photo with the merlion as it is a very small structure compared to the others)
Grand Palace (Thailand)
Angkor Wat (Cambodia)
Borobudor Temple (Indonesia)
Taj Mahal (India)
Stonehenge (Easter Islands)
I forgot what is this building and where it is located
The Window of The World is an extremely large complex and we took hours to complete touring the entire place.
