Oscar Season

February is always the month when a lot of oscar nominated movies get released here. Among the movies opening this week, there are at least 3 that i wanna watch. Brokeback Mountain is definitely the top choice among all these movies coz it is sweeping the major film awards throughout US. The Constant Gardener by Fernando Meirelles who directed City of God should also be a good movie to watch, with Rachel Weisz a hot contender for Oscar Best Supporting Actress. Syriana, an espionage thriller set in the Middle East that dabbles with oil, terrorism and politics, looks like a very interesting and unconventional movie to watch also. Jarhead, opening this week, seems rather interesting also as it is shot in the perspective of a recruit during the Gulf War adapted from a true life account of Anthony Swofford. Munich directed by Steven Spielberg is about the slaying of 11 Isreali athletes during the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and it studies the Isreali-Palestinian conflict which is all so relevant in the real world.

Will i ever finish watching all these movies?

Luckily got 1 week of mid-term break 2 weeks later. :)
