Hong Kong Trip: Hong Kong Day 5 (Part 2)
>> Wednesday, June 13, 2007
We continued walking around the Repulse Bay area and there were more statues of mythical creatures by the beach. Took several photos with some of them.
Some rams
Chinese Cupid (corrected by sf)
Me, Edwin and Jim
Statues by the sea
Inside the Chinese Pavilion
Next, we headed to Pizza Hut nearby for lunch and Jim was so kind to treat us. We then took the bus back to Central where we headed to the Peak Tram Station.
Walking along the way to Peak Tram Station (The tall building is Bank of China tower)
While queuing up for the Peak Tram which goes up The Peak, Gs felt really sick and Jim accompanied him to see a doctor. That leaves the 3 of us and we waited for some time before getting a seat in the Peak Tram. We bought tickets for the tram and Madame Tussaud Museum in the shopping centre on top of The Peak.
Peak Tram Station
On board the Peak Tram (see the upward gradient!)
Higher and higher!
Up at the top of the station with the tram behind me
We left the station which is connected to a shopping centre. The viewing gallery is on top of the shopping centre and we went up around 6 or 7 storeys of escalator before arriving at the viewing gallery.
The Peak! (The view is a little marred by air pollution)
A better view of Hong Kong cityscape
The sunset at the other side of the viewing gallery
Murals painted by children on top of the shopping centre
To be continued...
End of Part 2 (2 pm to 5 pm)
