Continuing the tour of Birkenau Camp...

We proceeded to the inside of one of the buildings there. It was cold, sparse and vacant. Our tour guide told us that many of the Jews froze to death during winter as they were not given sufficient clothes.

The toilet area

The sparse buildings were susceptible to cold winds and chilling temperatures

A fireplace this small is no doubt unable to heat up the entire building

Even the tree had also died in the harsh conditions

Neverending fences

Railway that transported Jews to the Birkenau Camp

And the railway leads to nowhere else

Ruins of a collapsed or destroyed building

Memorial in memory of the millions of Jews who perished at Birkenau Camp

With the railway and entrance building in the background

Soon after, the tour had ended and we were affected by the lesson on the tragic past.

The remains of some of the destroyed buildings when the war ended

After touring Birkenau Camp, we took the bus that brought us back to Auschwitz.

Taking photo with the Auschwitz Birkenau signboard

Taking last few shots of the infamous sign

The greenery around the concentration camp

We then waited some time for the bus back to Krakow.
