New Year!

It's 2005! Hopefully this year will be peaceful and prosperous with terrorists all over the world captured. Well, this year's new year celebration has been marred by the recent tsunami tragedy. Nevertheless, my JC friends and i still go ahead with the new year gathering at Lion City Steamboat at Upper Serangoon. The turn-out this year was very good, with a total of 14 people. The food there is not particularly outstanding, there is no air-con and the variety of food is not a lot. Everyone paid around 15 dollars for the steamboat. After the dinner, we headed to Jimmy's house in groups of 4 as there were 4 cars. It's great to have rich classmates. ;) We played mahjong, ps2, computer and watched tv until about 4 am. My luck was really lousy that day coz i lost every round of mahjong. Some of them complained of hunger and we headed to geylang for supper/breakfast. We spent around 15 mins walking around the packed coffee shops and decided to go the famous cheese prata near NUS instead. It had just began to drizzle and we parked close to the prata shop. There were a lot of people but we dismissed the thought of going to another place for supper since most of us were tired already. The prata was not bad, tender and nicely done. Did not try the famed cheese prata coz it was rather expensive ($2 for a piece). My friend sent me home after that. Slept at 7 am and woke up at 6.15 pm on New Year's day. I regained most of the sleep time i lost during the weekdays which i had minimal rest of around 6 hours everyday. Next year's new year eve celebration should most probably be at my new house.
