Soccer Frenzy

Went out with Ks in the morning for a ktv session at cineleisure. Went back home in the afternoon and helped my mum prepare some food as my jc gang is coming my house for a supposed mahjong session.

Mb, Terence, Edwin, Gs and Yh arrived in the evening and we had our home-cooked dinner. After a few rounds of pool, we set up the internet soccer channels on gs's laptop and started watching the match between Portugal and Iran. I brought my lcd monitor down to the living room for an extra screen.

Although i don't watch soccer, watching soccer with many people is quite fun. Mb, Edwin and Yh had spent $10 betting for 3 goals but the result was just 2 goals. The match towards the end was exciting as everyone was rooting for one last goal. We were cheering for the very last goal but it was annulled due to offside.

Derrick joined us after the match and we all decided to bet again for the upcoming Czech Republic vs Ghana match. Edwin, Terence, Mb and Yh headed to Bukit Batok Central Singapore Pools which is open until 12 midnight to buy $10 for 2 goals.

All of us were expecting Czech Rebublic to win but the Ghana goal in the 2nd minute stunned us. We were lucky not to have bought a Czech Rebublic win. The match towards the end was exciting as well coz we were worried that there will be another goal scored by either teams. There had already been 2 goals scored by Ghana in the 80th minute and the last 13 minutes were us wailing at any balls which came near any of the 2 goal posts.

Soon the match was over and we won a total of $37 with an overall profit of $27 for that bet. They left for home at around 2.30 am.
