27/06/07

Continuing on our trek downhill, we arrived at Catcat Cultural Village. There are ethnic people living in the village and most of them work at the padi fields or other plantations.

Our tour/trek guide informing us on some facts of the village

Gorgeous view

We entered one of the villagers' house and our tour guide showed us around the house.

The kitchen

Sale of embroidery goods outside the house

Dyes for clothing & Half naked children

We then proceeded to the valley and there is a waterfall there.

Waterfall

Rapids

After taking several photos at the waterfall, our tour guide told us that we can stay around the area for 15 minutes. We decided to explore the area on our own. It was quite exciting to trek on our own without any maps in the vast mountainous area.

The uphill task ahead

We traveled quite far away from the waterfall and were halfway up a hill when we saw uphill endlessness ahead. We decided to u-turn and head back as 15 minutes was almost up.

Back at the waterfall

After our 15 minutes of grueling trek, we had exhausted half our strength and it was time to climb our way back up the hills.

Crossing a bridge across a valley

End of Part 3 (2.30 pm to 3.40 pm)
