25/06/07

We finally found the river after navigating through the small alleys and the view was disappointing. I had hoped that the riverfront would be as nice as Phnom Penh's riverfront but it was apparently not.

The dull and murky Red River

We proceeded back to the streets and continued navigating northwest to Hoan Kiem Lake.

Along Duong Bach Dang Street

We decided to stop by a restaurant near Fivimart to have our lunch. It was shiok to spend only around 2 to 3 dollars for restaurant food.

Fried noodles galore

We continued on our journey and saw some nice buildings along the way.

Not too sure what building this is

Hoan Kiem Lake

Taking a short break by the side of the river

We walked along the side of the lake towards the temple located in the middle of the lake.

Crossing the bridge to Ngoc Son Temple

We found that we need to pay tickets to enter the temple and decided not to go in after all. We shot several photos outside the temple next.

The entrance of Ngoc Son Temple

We continued walking northwards and reached Hang Be Market. The market isn't like those flea markets or night markets but a wet market. Ha...

Taking a glance at the raw food and meat at Hang Be Market

At a busy junction

We settled at a restaurant next for dinner and went to the busy streets of Hang Dao, Hang Ngang for some night shopping.
