Tuesday

Rested and stayed at home the whole day after coming back from Cambodia in the morning.

Wednesday

Went out with Ks on wed for a ktv session at Kbox Cineleisure. I helped him transport his printer for repair at Beach Rd before going to Sim Lim Square to buy a charger for my digicam. My charger was stolen in the second last night of Cambodia at Royal Hotel in Battambang when we went outside for dinner. I never considered the thought that they would steal my charger and my backpack was not secured as the main compartment seal was a tightening clasp while the side pockets had only one zipper. Next time, i'll make sure i'll carry the charger with me.

Got a $24 compatible charger for my digicam as the price of the original charger costs an average of a whopping $70! Never knew that digicam chargers costs that much. Word of advice to everyone who goes on holidays: Never leave your charger behind.

We then left for home and i went out at night for supper with my jc gang at Bukit Timah supper area.

Thursday

Went out with Fuli and Weiming to Vivocity as we have not met up for some time.

-------------------Me and Fuli-----------------------------------------Me and Weiming-------------

Nice view of the new complex

We had our lunch at Food Republic and spend some time strolling around the mega shopping mall. If i was walking alone, i'm quite sure i'll get lost as there were so many people and the four wings look similar. We walked over to Habourfront Centre before heading back. Fetched both of them back home in the evening as i wanted to get a street directory of Hong Kong from Yining who stays at around the same area.

Friday

Went to NUS for the Desaru briefing and less than half the people going for the Desaru trip is present. The briefing ended quite fast and the stores were distributed to us to help them bring to the ferry terminal on monday.

Met up with Jiayun at Orchard for dinner and movie. We watched Eragon, a movie about defeating an evil king who had once betrayed his fellow dragonriders and claimed the throne of the King. Eragon, a young farmboy cum hunter, is the hero who is destined to defeat the king after the dragon, Saphira, chose him to be its dragonrider. The show claimed to be this year's Lord of The Rings, but of course it is nowhere as good as the latter. The protagonist is Edward Speelers, a young newcomer who can act but lacks the charisma to lead the whole show. Some of the fighting scenes are are rather exciting but they are never intense. The bond between Saphira and Eragon is what holds the show together as they communicate via their thoughts and they work well together to defeat evil. The King is definitely a disappointment as he looks frustrated instead of angry, shouts at his wizard like a pitiful old man, and looks unhappy instead of menacing. Filled with cliches at the beginning, the show builds up to become a bit more entertaining with some action and adventures. Then suddenly and inappropriately, the show ends leaving me with slight bewilderment. There is some serious lapses in the storytelling progression especially in the introduction as well as the conclusion. There is definitely going to be a sequel but maybe the director could have chosen a better way to end the show.

Saturday

Went to Courts Megastore at Tampines to help Meibin choose a new laptop together with Jim, Edwin and Clarence. There were throngs of people there and the parking was horribly hard to find. I took around 20 minutes to find a parking lot and there was some misunderstanding between another driver and myself when both of us had a chance to park.

Anyway, there were loads of laptops to choose from and we helped her examine and identify those with better specifications which were around her budget. Had our lunch at the eatery inside the megastore afterward.

We then crossed over to the new Ikea but the amount of people there put us off immediately and we left for Orchard for a while. Headed to Safra Mt Faber next as Derrick and Terence were waiting for us there for bowling. We played a total of 3 games each and i broke my own personal record. Got a personal best of 114 which is not fantastic but not bad for someone who has not bowled for around 1 year or more. The rest did quite well also and we stopped playing after 3 games as the price is rather expensive at $3.60 per game. Went back home afterward.

Sunday

Went out with my family to my relative's house to pray and went shopping for a while at Woodlands. Bought mosquito coil, mosquito patch, ziplock bags and sleeping bag for my Desaru trip tomorrow. Just packed finish the stuff i'm bringing tomorrow. Hope that it wouldn't rain although most probably it would. Will be back on Tue.

Will continue my adventures in Cambodia when i'm back!
