Hong Kong Trip: Hong Kong Day 4 (Part 2)

>> Friday, May 04, 2007

Finally! Now I got time to blog about my Hong Kong Trip. Travel blogs are harder and more time consuming to blog as there are a lot of images to resize and upload, as well as to recollect the events that took place.

I stopped blogging from the Disneyland portion and will continue from there. Please view previous post here if you suffer from memory loss, kidding. I will try to remember the events that took place.

After taking the Space Mountain ride, we proceeded to another portion of Disneyland which is Fantasyland.

The iconic Disneyland Tower

A kiddish ride with long queue

We proceeded to take the tram ride after seeing the long queues and having no interest in taking the kiddish rides.

The approaching tram

The uber clean and new tram plus us!

There was audio commentary and a staff manning each carriage. They really wanted to make it as perfect as possible. It was a nice and relaxing ride that took around 15 minutes.

Shooting the scenery while on the tram

We sat for 1 round around the Disneyland complex and proceeded to explore the last portion we haven't covered, Adventureland. The place is modelled after Africa and we decided to take a ride on the boat cruise.

The river within Disneyland

Look at the tremendous amount of people queuing up for the boat ride!

The queue had been separated into Chinese, English, and Cantonese as there were guides speaking different languages. We opted for the queue with Chinese speaking guide as it had the shortest queue. We finally got onto the boat after waiting for around 40 minutes.

A shot i took while on the boat

The staff commentary was humorous and entertaining although i'm sure kids would love his exaggerated verbose antics more. We encountered "elephants", "crocodiles", "rhinoceros", etc along the ride.

They look really quite real right?

These fake crocodiles were really moving around

The "people" weren't moving but the rhinoceros head was

The blast of fire was the finale of our 10 minutes boat ride.

The heat wave actually took many people by surprise as the burst of fire was quite near the boat and the tinging heat wave came rushing over almost instantaneously. Overall, the ride was only satisfactory and but of course kids would love it i think.

To be continued....

End of Part 2 (2 to 4 pm)
