24 Mar (Delft) More Snow! (Part 1)

Got a shock today when i woke up and saw the layer of snow. I quickly snapped several photos before even eating my breakfast/lunch.

I woke up at around 12 noon and suddenly Venu told me it was snowing! I was bewildered and looked outside, and indeed it was snowing!

Quickly snapped several photos in my semi conscious state. I didn't see any snow in January and February but in late March. Hmmm.... The weather nowadays is getting a bit kooky. Below are the snow snapshots.

Some terms from Acoustics of Gas Turbines

Aerodynamic quadrupole (noise is produced by Reynolds stresses (turbulent velocity correlations) in a turbulent gas in the absence of obstacles

Distorted shock waves, which propagate non-linearly in the intake resulting in buzz-saw noise at low frequency

I think i'll give up on this chapter coz i seriously don't understand much about it. Crap, insane, alien stuff.

Assignment

Vibrations assignment question 4 is crazy. We have to solve 6 simultaneous equations with 6 unknowns that are coupled together. But luckily i got Zm as my teammate or else i wouldn't be able to solve the nutty question for sure.

We completed the entire assignment as of today and 1 bonus point for the vibrations exam shouldn't be a problem to get, i suppose.
