We then headed to Alexandra food centre for breakfast and Ikea to find some carpet to line the back of my van so that the sofa won't slip. We did not find any suitable ones though.
I went out with Daryl after that to watch Saw 3 at The Cathay. Compared to the original Saw, this movie lacks creativity, originality and shock factor. The sadistic games thought by 'Jigsaw' has been reduced to gore and more gore, pushing the envelope on what the audiences can take. The sawing of the skull operation procedure has been tried and tested by Hannibal, the script feels haphazard, and the supposedly experimental-looking film editing feels amateurish.
Jigsaw is out to get more lives this time but the director seems unfocused on whether to make a slash flick or a film that dissects the mind of the sadistic Jigsaw. Character development is almost non-existent with below average acting. The twist at the end is certainly unexpected but after the elaborate torture scenes and out-of-the-world torture equipment, the ending seems tame by comparison. This movie is strictly for gore-lovers, sick-in-the-mind or sadistic people.
