Met up at Leng Kee CC this morning for another round of briefing and synchronisation of PDAs. We were informed on how to deal with difficult situation by real life examples. Got a total of 11 submitted surveys and i'm the fastest in my team. Muahaha.... The rest got an average of around 8 submitted surveys. I guess i'm just lucky to get more households who are present.

Went with 2 of my colleagues to a hawker centre for some drinks before meeting up with ks as i had to pass my camera to him. We went carrefour suntec and there was a mini clearance sale of cds and vcds. I was tempted to buy a few vcds as they were only selling at $5 but did not buy any after some consideration. Had lunch at kopitiam and went bras basah complex as ks wanted to get some 2nd hand assessment books for his tuition students while i wanted a street directory and bus guide.

Ks left for his David Tao mini concert and i met up with clarence for dinner. We planned to watch Millions at PS but it was sold out and we decided on The Hidden Blade at great world city. The movie timing was quite late and we were roaming around in PS, centrepoint and heeren. Derrick joined us for the movie and fetched us there.

Received bad news that we have to be at Singtel Call Centre tomorrow at 9 am to fix a small problem in the application program in our PDAs. That means i have to wake up at 7.30 am!

My night is burnt

>> Thursday, April 28, 2005

Met up with my supervisor and team mates at Leng Kee CC this morning. We were briefed on some more things and had our PDAs loaded with the list of households we are to visit. I was given a group of households in a small area of HDB flats in commonwealth. I was quite happy that i did not get those private estates and condominiums, but i'll surely get them in the future. 3 of my team mates got areas in whampoa which is quite far from their own houses. After having our lunch with one of my teammate, we parted ways and started going around the housing estates to the specific households selected for the GHS interview.

Many of them were not at home and i only managed to get 3 completed surveys and 2 incomplete ones. 10 of the households assigned to me did not have anyone at home. Left for home at around 4.30 pm. Went back to the same area at 8 pm to get those people who had come back from work. Got 4 more submitted surveys and another incomplete one. 8 more to go before completing my whole list but i think it will be hard coz some of them don't seem to be around during the day or night.

Got back at 10.45 pm and spent quite a lot of time to write down my progress which is required by the supervisors. Well, guess i have to sacrifice some time for $$$$. Ka-ching! The rate of 4 households for $70 is really too good to be true, although it is definitely more tiring than an office job.

The training today is really boring as there were lectures throughout the morning. Afternoon was worse as there were more lectures and we also have to wait around 1 hour for the supervisors to prepare all the stuff for our work which starts tomorrow. Didn't really talk to my team mates as i didn't really feel like talking to them. I guess it's hard to find topics to talk to guys older than me by at least 5 years. Another boring day of training.

We got our PDAs, accessories and a lot of other stuff after waiting for a long time.
These are all the items issued to us excluding the pile of lecture notes. There are charger, spare batt, ac adapter, paper survey forms in case PDA no batt, pass, certificate of authorisation, pamphlet on GHS, appointment cards, notebook, pen, memory cards, PDA, bag, newspaper report, some pieces of paper and a folder. Tons of things right?

Just showing a solitaire game on a PDA.

Went for a gala premier of Divergence (HK movie starring Aaron Kwok, Ekin Cheng and Daniel Wu) at lido tonight with Zewen as he got 2 free tickets. We thought it was just a normal screening and did not expect some of the stars here (should have brought my camera if i had known). Aaron Kwok, Li Sin Jie and Gallen Lo went on stage in front of the theatre for a short chat with a 933 DJ before the movie started. Sat rather far away from the stage and did not see their features clearly. Anyway, they did not stay in the theatre to watch the movie with us. After watching the movie, we both agreed it is not very good. So don't waste your money on the show.

Meeting at Leng Kee Community Centre before starting work tomorrow. Hopefully i get mostly HDB flats instead of private estates.

My 4th job and hopefully the longest

Went to watch 2 movies with weiming yesterday, namely Swing Girls and The Interpreter. (Still got Millions and The Hidden Blade left)

Today is my first day of work! Again! Haha.... Today is not really my work day, but my training day. I was quite surprised with the number of people doing the field interview. There were a total of around 70 people and a number of them were uncles and aunties. I think around 80% of the total population there is older than me. Clarence and i were separated into different groups as we live in different parts of Singapore. Those who live in the west are grouped together, same goes for those living in the central and east area. There are lectures and powerpoint presentations to advice us on what to do and what not to do during our stint as a General Household Survey (GHS) officer. We are also given lecture notes on what we are supposed to interview as well. I fell asleep a few times since the topics are really dry and fact-based. After several lectures, we were each given a PDA as we would be using it to store information for the household surveys (no survey papers!).

It was the first time i used a PDA and i must say that it is quite interesting to handle some new nifty gadget. We have to memorise the password to unlock the device as the information we gather from the various household are strictly confidential. Some of the questions we are to ask are the personal particulars, family relations, education levels, working details and loads of stuff. Couldn't possibly remember every single question either. Anyway, we got to play with the PDA, know how to open this and that, and enter the relavant data inside.

Had our lunch break at funan at around 12.45 pm. After that was more lectures on the PDA and many people behind fell asleep including me. The speaker was just too monotonous and humourless to engage our attention. We were then brought to different conference rooms where we had ample time to try out the PDA. Some uncles and aunties who are not so pro with these technology gadgets needed more time and personal help to get used to using the PDA. It became rather simple after a few more tries and i was getting really bored, again. At least i'm getting paid for slacking right? Played the PDA games for a while before the debrief. Left at 5.45 pm. The training went rather well today as we did not have do much, only have to listen and press here and there on the PDA.

My last movie for this year's film fest

>> Sunday, April 24, 2005

Went with my jc gang to Chinatown this afternoon to buy tickets for the Malaysia trip. A total of 11 people are going for the trip to Kuala Lumpur from 23 to 26 June. The 4 day 3 night free and easy package costs $220, inclusive of accommodation at a 4 star hotel. After buying the tickets, we headed to the cheap cd stores and jimmy bought a whopping 6 china edition cds which only costs $29. We then took a train to somerset as we plan to watch a movie at cineleisure. We decided on The Interpreter but there were only front row seats left and we did not buy the tickets. We contemplated for some time and they decided to join me to watch Samaritan Girl later at night.

I was not pinning too much hope that there will still be tickets available but we went over to the sistic counter at wisma and found out there were still seats from the 3rd row. Thus, they bought 4 more tickets for the 9.15 pm show. Headed to scotts picnic for dinner and made our way to bugis via edwin’s car.

Went to the rest area outside bugis theatres to sit down and chit chat as we don’t have anything to do in the meantime. While walking around after that, we saw Edmund Chen, his maid and daughter in bugis junction as well. We waited for weiming to arrive as he and jiekai are the original duo that is accompanying me to watch the movie. We walked over to shaw towers from bugis and met up with jiekai. It was a bit weird for me as I had to entertain jiekai and weiming who do not know each other and at the same time not neglecting the presence of my jc friends. Luckily, weiming and jimmy knew each other as they used to be from guitar club, and jiekai and clarence knew each other as they used to be sec sch classmates.

After the movie, jk and I saw timothy in the same theatre as well. We got over to his seat and had a brief chat. He had bleached hair which is lighter than mine and he is currently working as a photographer. Going to nus arts & social science in august. Everyone left for home after that. The show is another of Kim Ki-Duk's great accomplishments as a filmmaker and most of us enjoyed the movie.

End of my slackest week ever

>> Saturday, April 23, 2005

Wednesday, watched Whisky with jk at shaw towers during singapore international film festival. It is quite a depressing film and it affected my mood for a while.

Did not have much to do on thursday and accompanied my sister and maid to my aunty's house as my mum was there. She had brought the car to service and went to my aunty's house to wait for the servicing since her place is quite near. They were playing mahjong as usual and i went to watch tv since i don't have anything else to do. Gave my cousin a mini-tuition session as well. I fell asleep while he was correcting some of his answers. Tuition lessons can be very boring!

Woke up quite early to go swimming with ks today. Arrived around 45 mins later as i was checking the directions to go to Jalan Besar swimming complex. We swam quite a lot of laps and the sun was really good for tanning. Went to have our lunch after that and walked over to sim lim as ks is interested in mp3 players. Coincidentally, i met my bmt mate, jia yi, there and he was quite surprised to see my coloured hairdo. After some research on the price of the mp3 players that ks is interested in, we headed to chinatown as he wanted to check out the cds there as well. We did not spend much time there and headed to orchard after ks bought a china edition FIR's latest album.

We went taka as ks thought that there is a sale there but we did not manage to find any. Went kino for a short while and coincidentally saw my ex-colleague there too. He was meeting other of our ex-colleagues to go to job agencies as they are planning to change jobs. Went library for a while after that and browsed through several shops before heading back.

My mother had planned a mini family gathering and cooked quite a feast for dinner. My rowdy cousins arrived shortly and i exhausted most of my energy playing with them. Couldn't use my com as well since they were playing computer games. Taught some of them the techniques of playing pool as well. Everyone finally left at 3 am and i can get some rest at last. Rather long and tiring day.

Well, at least there is more things to do in boring singapore next time. Been watching a lot of tv as well.

Birthdays

>> Sunday, April 17, 2005

Met up with my jc gang on sat afternoon to celebrate meibin's 21st birthday. We headed to marche for the celebration cum early dinner. The full-size cake was not available and the gals bought 2 slices of cake for her. We started to order our dinner after singing her a birthday song and passing our presents to her. I only ordered a crepe as i was also going to have my dinner at qizhi's 21st birthday celebration later. Took a picture after our dinner.

I left at around 6.30 pm and met kp at amk mrt to go to qizhi's place together. The walk there was rather long and we took around 15 mins to reach there. The celebration was at her void deck and there were tables and chairs set up already. Many of her relatives were already there and we started eating. There were not only buffet dishes, but bbq food was available as well. Saw some of my long lost secondary school friends and had some conversation with them for a while. Took a photo of the secondary school friends together before cutting the cake.

Tiring day as i haven't fully recovered as well.

My whole family went out on sunday morning, leaving me alone at home with my maid. Decided to ask liyuan and daryl to my house to play pool since they live nearby. We played pool and computer games for several hours. After that, ly and i headed to shaw towers for SIFF's screening of Tarnation. A very interesting and alternative biography.

Will be slacking for the whole of next week i guess.

What a bad day!

>> Friday, April 15, 2005

Clarence and i started on the aia surveyor job today and we waited for about half an hour for the insurance agent to arrive. We were then briefed on what to do and the terms and conditions of our job. The target survey group had to be between 24 - 35 years of age and their educational level had to be diploma or higher. The survey is to get more information about the group as they want to hire more insurance agents or financial advisors. After that, the agents had to discuss something and told us to go for a break at the coffee shop beside the building. 30 mins later, they finished their discussion and brought us to the area outside Raffles Place mrt. There were quite a lot of working adults as usual since today is a weekday.

We started by approaching people who were walking around. Bad idea, almost no one wanted to stop and do the survey. Getting quite pessimistic after 15 mins without having a single survey done. I changed my strategy and aimed those people sitting down. Their response was better and i continued asking until i had no one else sitting to ask. There was also a long queue for free bread and i aimed those people who are waiting in the queue. However, most of them were aunties and uncles who do not fit the target group. After about 1 and a half hour, we had completed around 13 or 14 surveys each but it started to rain and we went into a nearby building to seek shelter. We had to continue asking people for surveys and the atm machines in the building helped us a lot. We asked those people who are waiting to withdraw money to help us do the surveys.

Some of the people i surveyed are not willing to divulge their personal particulars and i just told them directly that they can leave fake contact numbers if they want. We have to reach a quota of 30 surveys per 3 hour session and the insurance agents would not be pleased if many of them did not fill in their contact numbers as it is the only means of contacting the people.

A very long 2 hrs 30 mins had past and we decided to take a break since we had been working quite hard just now. Got a total of 22 completed surveys while clarence got 20. The both of us are really quite sick of the job and i am really sick (ill) as well. We decided to give up doing this job as it is much worse than what we expected. It is tiring, demoralising and mentally exhausting too. Returned to the aia building after taking mrt to outram park. We told the people in charge of us of our decision to quit after our lunch. They tried to think of several solutions to lighten our workload but we declined their offer and resigned. They paid us $40 for 3 hours of survey work and 3 hours of waiting, eating and attending the briefing.

My 3rd job and i thought it would last longer than a day. Guess i should be waiting for my GHS job to start 1 week later.

Had a terrible day as i was not feeling well after doing the 3 hr surveying. My body temperature was fluctuating as well since i got an off and on fever since tue. Much better now after seeing the doctor and i was diagnosed with throat infection. Sick of being sick!

Sick of finding

>> Tuesday, April 12, 2005

Got so tired of distributing flyers yesterday that i quit immediately after distributing the stack of flyers that were given me. I spent around 3 hr 45 mins distributing and i was sweating from head to toe. Some of the hdb flats had bad designs as they were separated into 2 sections only connected by the corridors at levels 12, 9 and 5, and i had to climb up and down at the ends of the flats. Got barked at by 4 ferocious dogs, got a shocked housewife whose reaction was so funny that i had to control my laughter and a very naggy employer. Got my pay after waiting for 1 hour in tampines as he went back to his office while i was distributing. It was a meagre sum of $17 as i had disributed 940 pieces and the rate was $18 for 1000 pieces. Minus the transport cost of $4, lunch of $3, the cold drink and magazines that i bought at a mama shop $7, i had only earned $3 nett. Sucks right? Never mind, i won't be distributing flyers ever again.

Went for another job interview with clarence today as we were still jobless. It is a street survey job which pays $20 for 3 hrs and we will have commission for those people who are willing to go for interview as financial planners or advisors. It went okay and i think they should be contacting us within thse few days. But we might not be accepting the job as we are only required to work 3 hrs.

Gonna watch House of Fury with kr tomorrow as he is only working a few days this week. Got a cough today and feeling quite sick now. Maybe i worked too hard yesterday.

Fly.......(high)......er

>> Sunday, April 10, 2005

This scene from 3-Iron depicts what i'll be doing tomorrow. Except that i won't be distributing flyers to private estates, but HDB estates, and that no chio bu is accompanying me to distribute flyers. Ha..... Starting work in tampines at 8 am. That means i have to wake up at 6.15 am tomorrow. :(

The rate is $18 per 1000 flyers distributed. 1000 is quite daunting but i'll try to get 500 distributed per hour. Since it's door to door distribution, people can't reject my flyers so it'll be faster compared to street distribution.

Went to buy presents for terence and meibin with my jc classmates at orchard today. Spent some time deciding before buying a black and white adidas sweater for mb and a sovil et titus watch for terence at heeren. Hopefully they are not reading this. We then headed to suntec via ed's car as he is interested in the Jue Dui Superstar organised by Channel U. We were quite stunned because the white shelters are empty and there are very few people applying for the singing contest. I think it is because those people who are interested had already gone for it yesterday. There are also a lot of counters where people can apply for the contest. There is a mini stage in front of the counters where the applicants have to say cliche phrases like "Wo shi jue dui superstar!" and sing in front of a camera and the people watching. We only saw a gutsy female sing a song and she was also asked by the camera crew to dance a bit. It was quite different from Singapore Idol where the contestants were brought to an enclosed room with only the judges and the cameramen there. Anyone who passes by the mini stage would be able to hear your sing, or croak. Ed and zw decided not to go for it and we had dinner at the food court before heading back.

Movies = no $$$

>> Saturday, April 09, 2005

Saturday, woke up today looking for jobs in classified as usual. Called several companies before going out to meet jiekai and liyuan for Singapore International Film Festival's Festival Fringe at Goethe-Institut. The admission is free and anyone interested in this can go http://www.filmfest.org.sg/fp_ff-sche.php to check out the schedule. We headed to the sistic counter at specialist's centre first as we wanted to purchase movie tickets for the main festival films. We bought a total of 7 tickets for whisky, samaritan girl and tarnation. I'll be watching whisky and samaritan girl with jk and tarnation with ly. Spent $9.40 * 3 = $28.20 instantly at the counter. :(

Sometimes i wonder why i spend so much on movies. That's not all. Liyuan had helped me get 10 $7 movie vouchers which can be used during weekends as his sis had a lobang from her friend. Another $70 gone!
:( But must thank him for helping me get the cheap vouchers too.

At least the festival fringe is free. :) I thought that there will be a mini cinema or something more posh but the fringe is held in a projection room which is the size of a classroom. The 3 of us arrived at 2 pm sharp and we had to sit near the back as the front seats are already taken. We had to strain our necks as part of the screen was blocked by some heads in front of us. The screening began shortly and i was not really used to viewing animations after animations. Some of it were good, bad, funny, boring, interesting or totally incomprehensible. It required quite a lot of concentration as the animations were very different from each other and we have to absorb many different concepts and styles within a short period of time.

There were a total of 9 world animations screened and it was over in 90 minutes. We left Winsland House and went to grab a bite at a nearby food court. Headed to HMV and Sembawang music centre as jiekai was interested in listening to FIR's new album. He decided not to buy the cd as he felt that the album was not as good as he expected. I bought Nobody Knows DVD (my 2nd favourite film last year) for $19.95 in HMV and collected some free postcards in cine as well. Wallet getting lighter.

We headed to a shop selling chee qiong fan and porridge along Killney Road for dinner recommended by jk. The chee qiong fan is good but the porridge tastes quite normal. After our meal, we went back to Goethe-Institut as jk was interested to watch the short films showing at 7 pm. We arrived 15 mins earlier so that we can get the front row seats. The first short film is brutally shocking with an extremely realistic assault of a man by 2 carjackers which ended with the unconscious man being driven over by the criminals. They continue on their spat of criminal activities and subsequently attacked an old man in an atm booth. The old man ended up with his face chopped by a large knife after he tried to get his money back. It is really sadistic and they filmed the whole thing with security cameras or CCTV which made everything look as if it actually happened. The next short film is shot through a glass sphere as the director is trying to be innovative but it made the images more blurry and less colourful. The story is not very interesting either and i decided to spend some time smsing instead of watching it. The 3rd one is slightly better but the subtitles are really small and hard to read.

Jk and ly left for home and i arranged to meet up with weiming to catch Swing Girls at cine 9.10 pm. However, the tickets were sold out by the time i got there and wm was already on his way. We didn't have other movies in mind to watch and spent our time having supper and discussing the interesting movies in SIFF.

Took a picture of all the movie stuff (DVD, postcards, vouchers and tickets) i got today.

Have to work soon to earn money.

Desperate Slacker

>> Friday, April 08, 2005

Went for the GHS interview with clarence yesterday morning. Found out that the $63 per day rate is not inclusive of the $7 transport fee. So the total earned per day is a whopping $70. However, we do not know whether we are selected for the job or not. Another good thing is that the working hours is flexible, we can go to the specified households anytime we want as long as we meet the quota of 4 households per day. The bad thing is that the training only starts on 25th of april which is around 2 and a half weeks later. Also, the people that we are required to survey might not be around and it's highly possible that we need to work at night after they go back home from work.

Went swimming with ks and jy at geylang east swimming pool after the interview. The pool is very new and there are also some built shelters beside the pool instead of the conventional umbrellas. The weather was really hot and suitable for suntanning. We left at around 2.15 pm and had lunch at a nearby hawker centre before going back. Passed by several massage palours along dunno what lorong geylang where the china girls were at the entrance beckoning passersby "Sir, $30 for 1 hour, you want?" to enter. I quickened my pace as i was alone coz i wanted to take a direct bus home from the main geylang road instead of taking the train. It was a bad decision as the weather was freaking hot and the people around the area were mostly older men and there were several women with rebonded hair, make-up and revealing outfits which made me feel rather uncomfortable. Came back home with a sunburnt face. The search for jobs continue.

I need to find another job soon even if i'm selected for the survey job. My ex-company has not called me yet and i don't think they will call me since it has been a few days already. Why is it so hard to find a job? Perhaps i'm too picky. I don't wish to work during weekends unless it's a half day on saturday, i don't want my workplace to be far from home and i have a minimum expectation of $6 per hour. Called many companies in classified and some job agencies. I'm getting desperate! Somebody give me a job!

Spent quite a lot of time compiling the movie guide so must appreciate my effort. ;)

Woke up today and started flipping through classified before having my breakfast. I called quite a number of companies but many of them required females. Some of them also need to work during weekends. I'm quite sick of finding jobs all over again, so i asked some of friends who are working whether there are any vacancies at their workplace. I decided to go to a job interview tomorrow with clarence as he is applying for a job that does surveys and it pays quite well for $63 per day. However, the job requires us to go to different locations and the pay includes the transport costs. My company InCall System has yet to call me about my pending job there and i'm going to widen my options just in case they decided not to employ me anymore. Some of my friends daryl, kp and terence (recommended by me) are starting work at InCall next mon. They must thank me for finding them this job that pays them $7 per hour right? Haha....... Too bad, i might not be working there anymore.

Ly also informed me about his job as someone in his company is going to quit this fri, called them but they have not confirmed anything yet.

3 unconfirmed jobs, which one should i choose or will i get anyway? I really don't know either :)

Bummer!

>> Tuesday, April 05, 2005

Before watching movie on sunday, i went to sembawang music centre in cineleisure and the shop assistant asked me if i need any help. I declined her help but she continued and asked me several questions about my hair. She asked me how did i dye my hair, what brand did i use for the dye and how long does it take to dye the hair. I was quite surprised that a stranger would ask me so many questions about my hair but i answered all of her questions. She also commented that my hair is very nice with light and dark tones combined together, and that very few people are daring to experiment with these bright colours. Of course, I was secretly pleased to heard compliments from a complete stranger.

Stayed up until quite late on sunday and i had a really hard time keeping awake on monday. I was constantly dozing off in front of the monitor at work. It was really torturing to focus my energy to work and i was really quite inefficient doing the data entry yesterday. Spent the night downloading a lot of chinese mp3 with some help from ks.

Today is my pay day! I was sleepy as usual today as i did not get enough sleep yesterday night as well. The people doing data entry including me (6 ppl) were asked to go to the conference room at 11.30 am and we thought that we would be given a new project to do. Instead, we were asked to "take a break" as there wasn't much for us to do anymore. Our supervisors said that they will most probably call us later this week when the new projects start. We were quite surprised as there wasn't any prior notice about our temporary leave. We collected our cheques after the meeting and mine was a grand total of $451.50 which is calculated up to the end of march. (That means the company still owes me money for the days i've worked in april which i've to collect on 5th of may.) After exchanging handphone numbers and email addresses with some of my colleagues who were still working there, we left at around noon.

I took a bus to the DBS branch opposite queensway shopping centre, which is only a bus stop away from my workplace, and withdrew the money. Then deposited the money into my OCBC account with only $68 left in it originally. Went window shopping at queensway shopping centre before heading for home.

When will my company call? Will they still want us back? While flipping through the classified section today, i saw the advertisement by my company as it had the same number. "Call Centre requires tele agents. Min A-levels." Some of my friends that i've recommended to do this job have already been confirmed that they will be working next week.

They better call me soon, or else...........

I'll find another job :(

Saturday, met up with Ks in the morning at chinatown to sing ktv as our original plan to swim was foiled by the rain. Coincidentally, sgt tiko and i were on the same bus as he was going for work at turf city. After the 3 hour ktv session, we passed by some cd stalls on the way to the big hawker centre and Ks told me about Lin Jun Jie's latest album. When the both of us saw the price of the album, we were genuinely stunned by the price of the album which is only $9.90. The cd is also singapore edition, not china edition. On closer inspection, the cd gives a free poster and 2 free k-box k-lunch vouchers. The exact price of the cheapest k-lunch is $6.40 after adding gst, service charge and karaoke-on-demand charge. So the price of 2 vouchers is $12.80 while the cd is only $9.90! I decided to buy it after considering for a few seconds. Ks checked the terms and conditions of the voucher and it can only be used on weekdays. Still, it is a very good offer and he decided to buy it as well.

After having our lunch, we went to another cheap cd stall outside Pearl Centre and it was selling the cd for the same price as well. We passed by a giordano shop and saw t-shirts selling for $6 only. We both bought one each as well.

After my mini spending spree, i met up my jc gang as they were in chinatown as well asking the price of the malaysia trip we are organising since there are quite a lot of travel agencies there. They had already checked out most of the travel agencies and confirmed the price and agent to go when we want to book the tickets.

Zewen went to a toy shop to buy some naruto collectables and we didn't have anything to do in chinatown after that. We decided to watch a movie in orchard and ed drove us there. We reached at 4.30 pm and since the parking is very expensive before 6 pm, we drove to the private estate behind wheelock place to park the vehicle. Had to walk for 15 mins to orchard road though.

Along the way, ed told us that one of his camp mates can see the supernatural. Being the super inquisitive one about the supernatural, i asked him many questions about his friend. His friend had some scary encounters before, and there was once when he woke up seeing a ghost staring at him in close proximity. He had been asked by a number of his friends on ghost hunting adventures and had been to old changi hospital where he claimed to see a lot of those things. The room where autopsies were done and where the bodies were kept had the most number of spirits lurking there, according to him. When edwin asked him about what terence and i encountered near kranji reservoir, he told him that what we experienced is that we went into another dimension. His friend asked him whether the road terence and i were on seemed neverending and it was neverending indeed!!!!! I was utterly shocked by the truth that i had been into another dimension before!!! It explained the dimmer lighting, the forested area instead of farms and some buildings at the sides and the neverending road instead of the road which ended in a bend after around 1-2 km. Luckily, terence and i did not venture deeper along the neverending road or else the both of us would be stuck inside, his friend proclaims. He also said that time will be passing really slowly when we are in the dimension. We went to cineleisure to check out the movies screening there and zewen was interested in white skin and install while i was interested in 3-iron. 3-iron is directed by one of my favourite directors Kim Ki-Duk whose previous film was the wonderful Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... And Spring. Ed was interested in Swing Girls and we decided to have a vote. White Skin was the final choice. I was a little apprehensive coz i have not heard of the movie or read its reviews before.

Jim joined us a short while later and we had dinner at cine food court. Went to hmv to waste some time as the movie is at 7.40 pm and we had more than 1 hour to spare. Derrick joined us for the movie as well. Just a few minutes into the show, my fears were proven right and the movie sucks to the core. A total waste of money and time.

We then headed to amk for supper and edwin and clarence suggested watching another movie at jubilee since we feel cheated of a show today. Jim had duty the next day and zewen was too tired and they did not join for the 2nd movie. The rest of us watched Spanglish at 11.30 pm which is not as funny as we expected. Nevertheless, it was much better compared to the crap we saw just now. Ed fetched us back home after that.

Watching 3-iron with weiming later today.
